Police have arrested five men linked to a debt collection case in Tung Chung.
Officers allege that two of the suspects attacked two victims with an air gun inside a flat at Yat Tung Estate when trying to recover several hundred thousand dollars of debt on Tuesday.
One of the victims was shot in the face by metal bullets and sustained serious injuries.
A chief inspector of police, Yu Pok-hon, said officers on Wednesday raided a unit said to belong to the suspects in the same building and seized an air gun, along with 70 metal bullets and three gas cartridges.
Officers also recovered a meth pipe which they believe the suspects threw out of the window.
Five people inside the flat, aged between 22 and 46, were arrested and face charges including wounding, theft, possession of arms and ammunition, possession of instrument fit for the smoking of dangerous drug and obstructing police.
Some of them are believed to have triad connections.
