Andy Tsang talks to RTHK's Timmy Sung in Beijing
Former Hong Kong police chief Andy Tsang said on Thursday that he will not be raising suspected cases of mainland agents crossing the border into the SAR when he attends the top advisory body's meeting in Beijing.
Tsang, who is in Beijing to attend the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) said was no evidence to prove such incursions by rogue agents.
As per the One Country, Two Systems principle, mainland security officials can not operate in the SAR.
Suspicions that mainland agents have illegally operated in the city have gained ground after the disappearance of a mainland tycoon for a luxury hotel in the city. Before that disappearance of Causeway Bay booksellers had also caused a furore.
Tsang, who is a new member of the CPPCC, said that he hopes to offer his views on how to strengthen the cooperation between Hong Kong and central government when he is in Beijing
He said he will raise suggestions on how Hong Kong could leverage its advantages under the "One Country, Two Systems" principle.
Tsang told RTHK's Timmy Sung that he will look to contribute in the area of security adn stability as that is the area he has worked on.
