Police have seized cocaine and ice worth HK$11 million from two apartments in Sheung Shui, arresting three men in connection with the haul.
On Sunday afternoon, investigators acted on a tip-off and raided an apartment in Chi Cheong Road, finding 4.3 kilogrammes of cocaine, police said.
During the operation, two men were arrested and police said one of them was carrying a further kilo of cocaine.
Police also searched another apartment nearby and found another 5.3 kilos of cocaine, 15 grammes of ice, and drug making equipment. They arrested a 62-year-old man who they suspect was making the drugs.
Senior inspector Cheng Ki-fung said he believes they have successfully busted a drug-making and trafficking cartel. He said they are now investigating the details of how the operation was organised.
