DAB chairwoman Starry Lee
The DAB has urged the government to spend half of its budget surplus this year on the people.
Members of the pro-government party held talks with the Financial Secretary, Paul Chan, on Wednesday to discuss their wishlist.
They want a host of measures for different sectors, including more tax relief for the general public, more subsidies for the elderly, funds for patients with rare diseases and victims of domestic violence, and medical vouchers for children.
They also asked Chan to come up with ways to broadcast the World Cup for free in Hong Kong.
