Anchorpoint Financial Limited (Anchorpoint) has announced the launch of the Tokenised Money Adoption Programme (TAP), an industry-wide initiative dedicated to the education, research, and dialogue on tokenised money in Hong Kong. PWC Hong Kong joined the Anchorpoint Tokenised Money Adoption Programme as a strategic partner through a Memorandum of Understanding, signed by both parties.
Following HKDAP’s beta access, which is Anchorpoint’s regulated HKD-backed stablecoin, the company sees a need for industry discussion on the use, operation, and application of tokenised money.
The Anchorpoint Tokenised Money Adoption Programme will bring stakeholders from financial services, payments, digital assets, technology and the corporate sector together via workshops, research initiatives, as well as industry discussions.
The programme will focus on three areas: educating and enabling tokenised products and services, researching and developing technical and market standards, and exploring real-world use cases for tokenised money.
PwC Hong Kong will contribute its industry experience and insights to support the programme’s education and research initiatives.
“We are pleased to partner with PwC Hong Kong to foster constructive dialogue on tokenised money as Hong Kong embarks on a new chapter in digital assets. Through TAP, we hope to provide a platform for these conversations, contribute to the development of the sector, and look forward to bringing together more like-minded partners.”
