Customs officers seized suspected cannabis buds with a street value estimated at HK$2 million after intercepting a ship arriving from Guangzhou on Saturday.

Acting on intelligence, officers stopped the boat in Tsing Yi and seized the drugs, which were inside a suitcase aboard the craft.

A 37-year-old man who was part of the ships's crew, and later arrested a 34-year-old man suspected of involvement in the case.

The investigation is continuing and no charges have been brought.
