The government's Centre for Health Protection on Tuesday said three more airport workers had contracted measles.

It said one of the patients, a 23-year-old male, had received two doses of the measles vaccine. He began to show symptoms last Wednesday and was admitted to hospital.

The two other cases - both males in their twenties - said they had been vaccinated. All three are in a stable condition.

The centre says members of their families so far haven't developed any symptoms but they have been put under medical surveillance as a precaution.

The three new cases brings this year's total to 39. Nearly half of them involve people working at the airport or for airlines.
