The Chief Executive’s Office apologised on Tuesday after displaying the Chinese name of the People's Republic of China incorrectly at the CE's weekly press conference.

When Carrie Lam announced that RTHK had been authorised to broadcast this year's National Games, a digital poster appeared on the big screen behind her with one of the Chinese characters in the country's name replaced.

Responding to media enquiries, the Chief Executive's Office said it would take action to ensure that no such mistake was made again.
