The government said adult residents can make bookings from next Monday to get their Covid booster shot, as long as they've had their second jab at least three months ago.

A fourth dose will also be available for immunocompromised individuals aged 12 or above, three months after they've received their third jab.

The online booking system will open at 8am on March 21, and people can choose to get either the BioNTech or Sinovac shot.

The latest arrangement follows earlier recommendations by government pandemic advisors on shortening the time interval between the second and third doses for people aged between 18 and 59, from six to three months.

They had also "strongly recommended" immunocompromised individuals to get an additional fourth dose.

Covid patients who had not been double-jabbed before their infections can get vaccinated as early as three months after recovery, but they'll be required to show the relevant proof, such as a discharge letter issued by the hospital, government recognised test results, or an isolation order.

As for unvaccinated elderly care home residents, they can receive their first dose one month after recovery, and wait at least another month for a second dose.

If they have received one shot before getting infected with Covid, they'll have to wait for three months before getting the next dose.
