The government on Saturday locked down two blocks at Tai Hing Estate, and two blocks at Sun Chui Estate, for compulsory Covid testing.

Health officials sealed off Hing Cheung House and Hing Tai House in Tuen Mun, and Sun Yuet House and Sun Wai House in Shatin, at about 7 pm. Sewage samples from the blocks had tested positive for the coronavirus.

Officials expect the exercises to end at about 8.30 am.

The government also said anyone who had been at any of the buildings for more than two hours between January 23 to February 5, 2022 must get tested before Monday.

It said, as a mutant strain was involved, the order also applied to vaccinated people and those who have been recently tested.
