A second video showing students – suspected to be from a Ma On Shan secondary school – bullying a classmate emerged on Friday.

This comes a day after eight pupils from the school were arrested by the police on suspicion of common assault over similar footage.

The new video, which lasts only a few seconds, was published by local media.

It shows a student pinned down on a desk and hit on the back. It’s not clear if the same students are involved in both incidents.

The first video had shown a group of students stripping and assaulting another boy who is seen lying on the floor, pinned down by chairs.

Yan Chai Hospital Tung Chi Ying Memorial Secondary School said it would follow up on the second video and would refer the matter to the police if necessary. A spokesman stressed the school does not tolerate bullying.

Commenting earlier on the video that went viral on the internet on Thursday, the school denied it was a case of bullying. But it admitted that the behaviour went too far.
