Organisers of Sunday's anti-extradition rally at Chater Garden put the turnout at 11,000 at its peak.

It ran from 3 to 11 pm.

The man who organised the event, Ventus Lau, also denounced the police clearance operation on Sunday evening, saying it harmed many reporters and children.

Lau said police failed to exercise self-control.

He also said the refusal by police to approve marches in Yuen Long and Central in the past two days would lead to further "resistance" by the people and possibly more clashes in future.
