The government said on Friday that it would start requiring travellers flying in from France and Russia to provide a certificate to show they're free of the coronavirus.
Both countries are being added to a list of high-risk areas from where travellers are required by law to prove they're free of Covid-19 before they're allowed into the SAR.
The coronavirus tests have to be taken within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time.
The new requirements for France and Russia will take effect on October 26.
