A unmasked man wearing no protest gear suffered a number of cuts to his forehead and elbow when he was subdued by a group of around ten riot police in Tuen Mun on Sunday evening.

The man had been among a group of several dozen people who gathered outside the Tuen Mun police station, chanting anti-police slogans and aiming laser pointers at officers.

He had walked right up to riot police after they emerged to clear the area at around 10.30pm. A large group rushed forward to subdue him, prompting some much younger protesters to try to pull him back.

However, they failed, and police later dragged up away, where they pressed him to the ground and arrested him.
