Lone Robber Escapes With Jewellery Worth HK$1.4mn

Police are searching for a robber who made off with HK$1.4 million worth of jewellery from a shop on Ap Liu Street in Sham Shui Po.

Officers said the man entered the shop at around 10:20am on Thursday, wielding what appeared to be a handgun.

He ordered the two staff members in the shop to give him the necklaces, bracelets and pendants that were on display.

The robber shoved the items in his bag and ran towards Yen Chow Street.

Officers said the man was in the shop for only about three to four minutes.

No customers were in the store at the time, and no one was injured in the incident.
