Police in Taiwan said on Sunday that they are seeking help from their counterparts in Hong Kong, after a Hong Kong person was linked to a bomb and assassination threat posted on social media targeting the city of Taichung.

Police in Taiwan have arrested two fourteen-year-old students, who allegedly said online that they would bomb Taichung train station and kill the city's mayor, Lin Chia-lung.

One of them told police that he worked with a netizen surnamed "Yuen" from Hong Kong, to steal another web-user's Facebook account to use to post the threats.

There were no further details of the age or gender of the person being sought.
