FPS Down Due To 'unforeseen Circumstances'

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority said on Sunday that its Faster Payment System (FPS) has been down after it encountered “unforeseen circumstances” during a planned maintenance.
The authority said the system maintenance period was originally scheduled from 2.45am to 7.45am on Sunday, but now the system upgrade will take longer, and services will resume at or before 1pm.
In the mean time, it said all FPS services, including real-time fund transfers and registration of account proxy with the FPS, are unavailable.
