Property Sales Up 16.9%

The Land Registry recorded 4,413 sale and purchase agreements for all building units for registration in February, up 16.9% from January but 11.7% lower year-on-year.

 

The total consideration for such agreements rose 21.6% from January to $35.3 billion, which is a decrease of 15.2% year-on-year.

 

Of the agreements, 3,572 were for residential units in February, up 29.3% from January but 12.6% lower than the same month a year ago.

 

The total consideration for residential units was $30.4 billion, up 22.7% compared with January and 15.7% lower year-on-year.

 

There were 321,609 land register searches in the month.
