James Lau Ends San Francisco Trip

Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury James Lau concluded his three-day trip to San Francisco today.

 

Mr Lau visited Visa Inc and met its Vice President of Global Government Relations Todd Fox to understand the company's technological adoption and how it would remain relevant in the world of mobile payments and an Internet of Things environment.

 

He also called on Chinese Consul General Luo Linquan to update him on Hong Kong’s latest developments.

 

Mr Lau then met 500 Startups Partner Edith Leung who shared with him her venture capitalist experience in startup investment and training up early stage companies.

 

He will return to Hong Kong tomorrow.
