Hong Kong shares finished the morning with marginal losses Friday as bargain buyers moved in following three days of losses, though sentiment remains tepid as coronavirus surges across Europe and the US.

Stocks opened slightly lower on Friday morning, extending their losing streak into a fourth day, as investors brushed off a positive lead from Wall Street.

The Hang Seng Index inched down 6.3 points to 24,580.

The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.2 percent to 3,278, while the Shenzhen Composite Index edged up 0.1 percent to 2,251. (AFP)
