Financial Leaders Meet

Financial Secretary Paul Chan today chaired the eighth meeting of the Financial Leaders Forum.
Members received a briefing from Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing on the strategy to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as the preferred listing venue for international enterprises.
They agreed that Hong Kong has full potential to attract more listings by international enterprises and to capture the opportunities thereof, to develop itself into an even broader and deeper fundraising platform.
The Financial Services Development Council also briefed members on Hong Kong's competitive advantages as an international financial centre in Asia.
The members opined that the Government, financial regulators and the financial services industry should continue to step up concerted efforts to advance the city’s diverse developments and competitiveness, leveraging on its unique position as an international financial centre with close connections with the Mainland.
