Financial Advisers Board Named

The Government today announced the appointments to the Financial Services Development Council's board of directors.

The appointments are for two years from January 17.

The Chief Executive reappointed incumbent chairman Laurence Li and 12 incumbent members, and appointed three new members to the board.

Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Christopher Hui said under the chairman's leadership, the council has made great achievements in conducting research, promoting market development and nurturing talent for the betterment of Hong Kong's financial services industry.

Mr Hui said the reappointed members and new appointees are all seasoned practitioners with expertise in the financial services industry, adding that he was confident the board would continue to direct the council in accomplishing its work objectives.

He also thanked outgoing members Mark Dickens and Joe Ngai for their contributions over the past years.
