Final Cash Payout Registration Set

The Government today announced that people born in 1971 to 2002 who choose to apply for the Cash Payout Scheme by paper form may register from this Sunday.

People who register using paper forms during the period from July 19 to August 1 will receive payment or notifications of cheque collection from August 17.

There is no need to rush for registration during the first couple of days, or to submit the forms in person.

If they submit paper registration forms on or after August 2, payment or notifications of cheque collection will be received about two weeks after registration, which is in line with the current arrangement for other age groups.

Those who choose to register by paper form and receive payment through personal bank accounts or by collecting order cheques in person from post offices may place the forms into drop-in boxes at relevant banks or post offices. They may also mail the forms to GPO Box No. 182020.

In view of the recent epidemic developments, the Government suggests people submit the forms by post and avoid visiting banks or post offices in person to reduce the risk of infection.

As of today, the scheme has disbursed payment or issued notifications of cheque collection to over 5.3 million eligible people.
