Film Censorship Rules Gazetted

The Film Censorship (Amendment) Ordinance 2021 and the updated Film Censorship Guidelines for Censors were published in the Gazette and came into effect today, the Government announced.
On October 27, the Legislative Council passed the ordinance which aims to ensure more effective fulfilment of the duty to safeguard national security as required by the National Security Law, to prevent and suppress acts or activities that may endanger national security.
With the amended ordinance in force, the existing guidelines for censors have been updated correspondingly. The latest guidelines are available at the Office for Film, Newspaper & Article Administration’s website.
