China's private investment continued rising in 2017, growing 6 percent year-on-year to just over 38 trillion yuan. This was 2.8 percent higher than a year earlier.

The National Bureau of Statistics also said fixed-asset investment grew 7.2 percent year-on-year to just over 63 trillion yuan.

China's economy grew 6.9 percent last year, higher than the 6.7 percent registered in 2016 -- the first acceleration in annual growth in seven years. (Xinhua)
