  • Shanghai continues to see a drop in Covid infections

Shanghai has continued to see a decline in Covid-19 infections, logging 122 new local cases on Sunday – 29 of which were symptomatic.

Beijing saw 21 new local cases, including 14 symptomatic ones.

Nationwide, health officials reported a total of 215 cases.

Meanwhile, commercial activities are gradually resuming in Shanghai and Beijing.

Shanghai media said hundreds more financial institutions are allowed to resume operation from June 1, while a number of shopping malls have reopened at the Chaoyang district in the capital.

Restaurants, however, are still banned from providing dine-in services.
