Health authorities on the mainland on Sunday reported 275 new Covid cases – 196 of which were locally transmitted.

The daily figure for June 11 was up slightly from the 210 logged in the previous day.

Among the new local infections, 122 showed symptoms.

Beijing reported 34 symptomatic local cases, and 31 asymptomatic ones.

Shanghai, meanwhile, recorded 10 new local infections with symptoms and 19 without.

Officials in the financial hub have implemented an order requiring all residents to undergo at least one PCR test each week.

The weekly testing order will last until the end of July.
