Macau's Chief Executive-elect, Ho Iat-seng, left for Beijing on Tuesday where he is to receive an official certificate of appointment from Premier Li Keqiang.

Speaking to reporters before he flew to the capital, Ho said he doesn't have a cabinet line-up yet but believes he'll be able to come up with a list next month.

Apart from Premier Li, Ho is also expected to meet President Xi Jinping at the Great hall of the People on Wednesday afternoon.

But Ho said he doesn't think he will discuss the situation in Hong Kong with the state leaders because he thinks they are well aware of what is going on.

Ho said he believes that the Hong Kong government has the ability to deal with the situation.

The 62-year-old will be sworn in as Macau's next Chief Executive on December 20.
