Macau authorities are testing all 680,000 people in the special administrative region, after two security guards working in a quarantine hotel were confirmed with the coronavirus.

Officials have said they aim to complete the testing in 72 hours, starting from 3pm on Saturday.

Macau's secretary for social affairs and culture, Ao Ieong U, admitted that she expects the new cases to hamper business over the upcoming National Day golden week.

Nearly 370 sampling stations at 52 locations have been set up across Macau for the mass testing operation.
