Hong Kong's men's rugby sevens team have claimed their first Cup victory in this year's Asia Rugby Sevens Series. They beat China in the final to win the second leg in Huizhou.

Tries from Alex McQueen and Jack Neville gave Hong Kong a 14-7 win in the final against the hosts. China reached the final after a surprise semifinal upset over Japan.

Raef Morrison had an outstanding tournament for Hong Kong finishing with six tries.

Hong Kong's women fell short of reaching the podium. They were beaten 19-17 by Kazakhstan in the bronze medal match.

Sri Lanka will host the third and final leg of the Series starting on the 28th of this month.

Results from the Asia Rugby Sevens Series will determine seeding in the Olympic qualifiers which will be played in November.
