The Commerce Ministry on Thursday criticised the United States for adding seven Chinese entities to its export control list.

Spokeswoman Shu Jueting said Washington's move severely damaged normal business activities between the two countries and went against market regulations.

The ministry added it will take the measures needed to protect the legitimate rights of Chinese companies.

Earlier this week, the US Commerce Department added seven Chinese entitles, mostly related to aerospace, to its export control list, citing national security and foreign policy concerns. (RTHK/Reuters)
