Max Chung, the man who organised Saturday's anti-violence rally in Yuen Long that never received police approval, has been arrested.

Police said he was detained on suspicion of inciting an unlawful assembly.

Officers took him into custody after he attended RTHK's City Forum on Sunday.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a total of 13 people in connection with the clashes between police and demonstrators in Yuen Long on Saturday night.

Officers said they took action and dispersed demonstrators from Yuen Long MTR station after coming under attack. Critics of the force said that amounted to the excessive use of force.
