Hong Kong recorded another Covid-19 infection on Monday involving someone who had recently returned from overseas, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the SAR to 1,107.
The latest patient is a 34-year-old woman who returned from Pakistan late last month.
The Centre for Health Protection said she developed a cough on Saturday and has since been taken to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment.
The CHP also confirmed that epidemiological investigations at Luk Chuen House in Sha Tin's Lek Yuen Estate are ongoing, and that as of 4pm on Monday, they had collected 1,382 deep throat saliva samples from residents there. None of the new samples collected tested positive for Covid-19.
Separately, the Hospital Authority said a total of 55 confirmed Covid-19 patients are still in hospital, of which three people are in a critical condition.
