Police said they're investigating a fatal traffic accident in Yuen Long on Thursday afternoon in which a 48-year-old woman died.

They said that at about 1.41pm, a private car driven by the 48-year-old woman was travelling along Yuen Long Highway towards Tuen Mun. The vehicle reportedly collided with a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 44-year-old man.

Both drivers subsequently left their vehicles, and the private car driver was reportedly hit by a public light bus driven by a 63-year-old man.
