Visa has announced that several major payment platforms in Hong Kong, including Adyen, AsiaPay, OpenRice, Worldpay and 2C2P, have integrated Click to Pay into their merchant networks.

The move enables Visa cardholders to use one-click checkout for lifestyle, travel and F&B online platforms, without the need to manually enter card details or remember passwords.

As online shopping becomes increasingly common, Visa said Click to Pay is designed to shorten checkout times to under a minute.

Registered cardholders can bypass form fields and card number entry while maintaining transaction security.

For merchants, the integration is intended to reduce cart abandonment and increase authorisation rates, while supporting customer satisfaction and fraud protection.

“By removing friction from manual entry, shoppers can pay effortlessly and confidently, knowing their sensitive data is protected. Merchants enjoy higher customer satisfaction, stronger loyalty, and reduced fraud risk. We’re excited to welcome more merchants onboard to deliver smarter, safer payments and shape the future of commerce,”

said Paulina Leong, General Manager of Hong Kong and Macau at Visa.

Cardholders only need to enrol once, via their bank’s mobile app, participating merchant websites, or the Visa website, to access Click to Pay across multiple online retailers.

The system has been rolled out through Visa’s partnerships with Adyen, AsiaPay, OpenRice, Worldpay and 2C2P, and is now available at brands such as OpenRice, Columbia, Crocs, Hong Kong Duty Free, Marathon Sports and UGG.

To mark the launch on the OpenRice app, Visa cardholders can access discounts until November 3.

Customers spending HK$80 or more on Voucher or Takeaway services through the app and paying with Visa Click to Pay will receive an instant HK$10 discount.

ZA Bank is also running a parallel offer, providing ZA Card users with HK$20 off when spending HK$80 or more with Click to Pay during the same period.
