  • Vaccine centres see uptick in demand for third jabs

An operator of community vaccination centres says there has been an increase over the last two weeks in people coming in for third Covid-19 jabs.

From today, most people aged 12 and above need three jabs to gain entry to many places, and to use the government's vaccine pass. Samuel Kwok, who operates centres in Kowloon Tong, Jordan and Lai Chi Kok, told RTHK that one centre had seen a three-fold increase in visitors.

"In the last two weeks or so, a lot more people are coming for jabs," he said. "[On Monday] at one centre we gave over 1,700 doses, compared to about 500 or 600 a couple of weeks ago.

"Of those people, about 85 percent are coming for their third jabs."
