  • UST president may ask for CCTV footage

The President of the University of Science and Technology says he will ask the operator of a Tseung Kwan O car park for CCTV footage to find out how one of its students was injured last night, so long as his parents agree.

Professor Wei Shyy was surrounded by a group of students on campus for hours after taking part in a rally this evening in support of the seriously injured student, who's still in a critical condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The student is thought to have fallen from height as the police fired tear gas in the area.

Professor Wei also pledged to meet with students next week.
