Television station TVB says one of its actors has gone into quarantine after having contact with a confirmed Covid-19 patient, a day before featuring in a gala show with more than 200 maskless performers.
The broadcaster said on Tuesday that the 205 performers who featured in its gala show on November 19 had tested negative for the coronavirus.
A day earlier, one of the performers, actor Edwin Siu, came into contact with a restaurant employee who has since tested positive for the coronavirus. He was filming for the station at the time.
Siu has now been sent into quarantine.
Hong Kong reported 80 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday.
