Medical staff and members of the public staged a sit-in at Tuen Mun Hospital on Friday, to protest against a police officer entering the hospital’s maternity ward.
The male entered the ward where a pregnant woman was taken following her arrest at a protest earlier this month.
A doctor read out a statement and alleged riot police carrying guns also entered the hospital premises and scared patients and their families.
He criticised the police for interfering with hospital operations and failing to respect patients’ privacy.
The doctor urged the police to abide by the laws when carrying out their duties.
