A third member of the Hong Kong karate team has tested positive for Covid-19, after returning to the SAR from training in France.

The Hong Kong Sports Institute said on Saturday that preliminary test results show Chau Ka-him has been infected with the virus.

His teammates, Tsang Yee-ting and Lee Chun-ho, had earlier been diagnosed with the illness, with all three of them returning to Hong Kong on March 15.

A fourth member of the team has been put in quarantine, but has tested negative for the virus.

Hong Kong has so far recorded 256 confirmed cases of Covid-19, with many of the latest patients Hong Kong residents who had recently returned from overseas.
