A tourist from Thailand who got caught in the travel disruptions were among 10 new coronavirus cases the health authorities reported on Thursday.
The Thai woman only patient thought to have contracted the virus locally is a tourist from Thailand.
She had arrived in Hong Kong with two of her friends in March. Her friends went back recently.
Centre for Health protection's Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan said the 26-year-old woman had stayed at several hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui and Kwun Tong during her incubation period, and they're now trying to pinpoint how she got infected.
Meanwhile, a nurse working at Queen Elizabeth Hospital has also tested positive in a preliminary test.
Six of his colleagues have been quarantined.
The Hospital Authority said he didn't have any contact with Covid patients at the hospital, and there's no evidence he had caught the virus there.
