People Power activist Tam Tak-chi appeared in Fanling Court on Friday on charges relating to a protest in Central in January.

The 47-year-old has been charged with inciting others to join an unauthorised protest, misconduct in public and seditious intent.

Tam did not enter plea and the case was adjourned until late September. He has been released on bail of HK$100,000 and can't leave Hong Kong until the next court date.

Tam was one of the victors in the pro-democracy Legco primaries last weekend.
