Services have been suspended on the Airport Express between the Airport and Hong Kong stations, as well as from Tung Chung to Sunny Bay after a train lost its power supply.

Services between Hong Kong and Sunny Bay stations are running at 10-minute intervals.

The MTR is advising travellers to seek alternative means of transport while it works to fix the situation.

The problem was caused by a damaged pantograph on a train in Sunny Bay station. About 60 people had to be evacuated.

One passenger on board the affected train said the lights flashed and went out before the train slowed and stopped in the station.
