Police say they have arrested a man on suspicion of arson and possessing offensive weapons after a fire in a Sha Tin housing block that put several people in hospital.
The force said it received a report at 2.26am on Sunday of a fire in a unit on the 19th floor of Fung Wai House at Sun Tin Wai Estate.
Hundreds of people were evacuated from the building.
Fire officials said multiple ambulances were sent to the scene and two people required CPR. One person suffered second-degree burns, while another had breathing difficulties after inhaling smoke.
A woman and a man were found unconscious in one of the flats and were carried out, officials said.
Police said they had arrested a 57-year-old man in connection with the incident and had seized two knives.
