Electricity company CLP on Monday said it had activated a second replacement cable after a massive power outage in Yuen Long last week.
It said the second 132 kilovolt cable, which was put into operation three days after the first, can further reinforce its power supply capability and enhance the reliability of the power system in the region.
CLP said it aims to activate a third and final replacement cable on Tuesday.
It added that it will gradually remove the fire-damaged cable bridge from a nullah in the next few days.
The firm said its staff, police officers and workers from several government departments inspected the bridge on Sunday.
