A meeting of Legco's national anthem law bill committee on Monday saw shouting and scuffles that left Democratic Party lawmaker Ted Hui and a security guard injured.

Hui was protesting against the committee chairman Martin Liao's handling of the meeting.

Liao had set a deadline for written questions to the government, evoking protests from the opposition. Hui was ejected after shouting about the ruling. A security guard was hurt when he tried to carry Hui out.

The Legco secretariat said it had filed a complaint against the lawmaker.

Council president Andrew Leung said later that the Legco Commission will study the incident.

On Saturday, another security guard was hurt during a public hearing on the anthem bill, after three Demosisto members staged a protest. A report about the incident has been filed with the police.

Talking to the media later, Hui said he has registered a complaint with the police against a security guard for manhandling him.
