From Aberdeen to Yuen Long, protersters continued to block roads, build barricades and confront the police overnight on Thursday, as riot officers fired more rounds of tear gas an other projectiles.

The Cross-Harbour Tunnel entrance in Hung Hom, near the heavily fortified campus of the Polytechnic University, continued to be a major flashpoint. At about 9pm, petrol bombs were used to set fire to toll booths, for the second consecutive night. The process was repeated several times.

At one point protesters set fire to a national flag.

In Tseung Kwan O, people set up roadblocks and threw petrol bombs close to the Sheung Tak Estate, where student Chow Tsz-lok suffered a fall during a police operation that led to his death last week.

There were gatherings in Aberdeen, where police fired tear gas at a group who were dropping objects from height, and in Yuen Long, where more tear gas was fired at a group who were blocking a major road.

In the early hours of Friday, a large group gathered once again in Mong Kok, building waist-high barricades out of bricks. Tear gas was also fired in Sheung Shui and Tsuen Wan earlier in the evening.
