The authorities on Tuesday locked down a number of blocks Tin Shui Wai, Mei Foo and Kwun Tong for Covid tests on residents, saying they have detected the virus in sewage samples.

Residents of blocks one, two and five of Sherwood Court, Kingswood Villas, 80-82 and 84-86 Broadway of Mei Foo Sun Chuen Phase 3, as well as Tin Yiu House and Tin Wing House of Shun Tin Estate must get tests.

The administration said it hopes to complete the lockdown operations by early afternoon on Wednesday.

Anyone else who spent more than two hours in the buildings since February 23 also needs to do a test by Thursday.
