An journalist suffered an eye injury while covering anti-government protests in Wan Chai on Sunday, as police were pushing forward to disperse demonstrators.

She was on the footbridge to Revenue Tower broadcasting the events live on social media when she got hurt.

Reports from the scene suggest she was struck by either a rubber bullet or bean-bag round fired by the police.

She told the ambulancemen that her eye hurt a lot as she was rushed to hospital.
