A reporter was hit in the head by a glass bottle apparent thrown from a building in Mong Kok as he was covering anti-government protests on Monday.

The Passion Times journalist was left bleeding from the head, and got treatment from volunteer first aid workers who bandaged him up before he was taken to hospital.

Broken bottles were spotted on the ground nearby Chun Yee building on Nathan Road.

Some protesters angered by the attack went into the building, saying they wanted to find who did it.

Later, a group of riot police arrived to investigate, but left after around 20 minutes without making any arrests.
